Windows Vista

Using protocol:
PPTP
IPSec
Open VPN
We recommend you first try connecting using PPTP, because this protocol is widely supported, very easy to set up and provides a fairly secure VPN connection. If you experience any issues using PPTP, you can alternatively switch to OpenVPN.
  1. Press the Start button and choose Control panel.
  2. Click on View network status and tasks.
  3. Click on Connect to a network option in the left part of the Network and Sharing Center window.
  4. Click on Set up connection or network.
  5. In the next Connect to a Network window choose Connect to a workplace and click Next.
  6. In the Connect to a workplace window choose the Use my Internet connection (VPN) option. Click Next.
  7. Enter ipsec.ivacy.com in the Internet address field, and Ivacy VPN as Destination name. Check Don't connect now; just set it up so I can connect later and click Next.
  8. Important Note

Our IPSec servers are located only in Russia. If you want to get IP address from another country, please use PPTP.

  9. Now type your login and password (those you used for registration in Ivacy), then press Create.
  10. In the Network and Sharing Center click Manage network connections.
  11. Right click on the Ivacy VPN connection and choose Properties.
  12. In the dialog window choose the Networking tab and choose L2TP IPsec VPN. Click IPsec Settings....
  13. In the IPsec Settings... window choose Use preshared key for authentication and type ciscokey into the box. Click OK in the IPsec Settings... window. Click OK in the Ivacy VPN Properties window.
  14. Double click on the Ivacy VPN connection and click Connect.

Congratulations! You are in our safe Ivacy network!
